Library’s neighbor artist Mike Hefner takes pleasure in capturing the feel of California’s scenery using a variety of media. Artist reception on July 16th noon to 2pm

"Los Penasquitos Lagoon" won Honorable Mention at the San Diego County Fair in watercolor landscape.

"Cactus Garden at Balboa Park"  is juried into the San Diego Watercolor Society for the July show "In all its Glory" open Wed-Sun 10-4pm

This month Mike has two paintings juried into the San Diego Watercolor Society's "Artful Harvest" show.
Left is a painting of the road going toward the beach down along the border to Mexico after a rain in Tijuana River Valley.

The painting below is a view from the north lot at Torrey Pines State Beach, of Pacific Coast Highway crossing the Los Penasquitos Lagoon opening.




The show runs Wed - Sun 10 am - 4pm and closes on Nov 28
